NASCAR driver Shane Hmiel who drives the number 32 Chevrolet was penalized 25 points and fined $10,000 for making an inappropriate gesture to another driver at the Bristol Motor Speedway on April 4^, 2005.

Currently Hmiel is ranked in ninth place in the points standing and it doesn’t appear that the points penalty will effect his current standing.

There were other drivers sited as well including Denny Hamlin who was fined $5,000 as well as four crew chiefs.
