Well here is your chance to get some of the half-million dollars that Dodge Motorsports is offering up for it’s contingency program.  Some have said this to be one of the highest contingency programs in SCCA history.  Well, if you don’t get around to it this year, perhaps it will give you something to shoot for in the future.

The contingency program is for the 11 race SCCA SPEED World Challenge Series.  The payouts will be given to drivers of Dodge vehicles who place in the top 10 positions in the SPEED GT and SPEED Touring Car classes.  These classes feature Dodge racing cars such as the Viper and SRT4.

Price breakdown goes as follows:

For SPEED GT:
• Winners will receive $7,500
• Second place will earn $5,000;
• Third-place payouts will total $2,000
• And fourth through 10th place will earn $1,000

For SPEED Touring Car:
• Winners will receive $6,000
• Second place finishers will get $4,000
• Third-place payout is $1,500
• Fourth place will earn $1,000
• Fifth-place finishers will receive $750
• And sixth through 10th place will earn $500

And if that’s not enough, if Dodge wins the SPEED World Challenge manufacturer’s championship, there will be additional awards to be split proportionally among teams who earned points toward the championship during the year. For the SPEED GT, the total award will be $20,000.For SPEED Touring Car, the total award will total $15,000.

OK, so your not quite at the SPEED Challenge level of racing yet, well if your in Showroom Stock C, Touring 1 and Touring 2 classes and drive a Dodge, contingency payouts range from $5,000 to $100.

In addition, Dodge continues to offer contingency payouts in SCCA Club Racing - in the Showroom Stock C, , ranging from $5,000 to $100.
